The telecommunications technician install, test, and repair equipment operated communications technology.

They work with cable televisions and telephone systems, radio networks, satellite systems and mobile phone networks.

What are the work activities of a telecommunications technician?

  • Telecommunications technicians install, test, and repair devices that work with communications technology.
  • Some telecommunications technicians move within a local van area and assist the customer by phone when calling to report a breakdown.

  6. Excellent numerical skills to make calculations and measurements.
  7. Being physically fit to lift and carry weight, and to flex, for example.
  8. And also, They should be able to work in elevated or underground places.
  9. They must have the capability to work fast and reliably without any supervision.
  10. Excellent communication skills to explain breakdowns to customers, as well as having a calm and professional behavior.
