Cryptographic keys can be basically of two types:

Symmetric

  1. It is the use of specific algorithms to decrypt and encrypt (hide) documents.
  2. They are groups of different algorithms that relate to each other to keep the information confidential.

Asymmetric

  1. It is a mathematical formula that uses two keys, one public and the other private.
  2. The public key is one to which any person can have access, while the private key is one that only the person who receives it can decipher.
